The U3A Volunteering team discusses the Zoom tutorials available for U3A members

If you would like to connect with other U3A members on video or want to take your interest group on-line or run a virtual meeting during lock down, then this may be for you.

It could also help you to keep in touch with family and friends with ease and confidence using video chat and conferencing platforms. (Learning is at the heart of all we do.

U3A Trust Volunteers are hosting Tutorials covering an Introduction to Zoom

The aim of this session is to help you become familiar with the basics of how to use the Zoom platform, what you can do on it, some of the functions (such as splitting into break-out rooms, instant polling, muting everyone!) and how to be safe.

Following feedback from participants our team of on-line tutors have introduced:-

Zoom for Hosting Group Meetings

The aim will be to cover the basics on organising and inviting members to meetings, meeting protocols, managing your group, and showing slides, ensuring fair participation, and generally how to run virtual meetings successfully.

 A detailed programme for the session will be sent to you once you have registered. You will receive an emailed invitation to join which you will click onto at the assigned date and time. You will join a team of up to 10 other U3A members and the tutor who will take you through all you need to know and organise very easy interactive steps so that you can gain confidence.
